The Sunset Beach Town Council recently agreed to conduct a maintenance dredge project prior to April 1st on the mouth of the feeder canal to the canals on the east end of the island. This work will make it easier for all boaters to move in and out of the canal system at all tide levels.
This work, along with the opening last year of the Town's boat ramp, really raises the service level for vacationing boaters. Those that stay in a Sunset Properties canal home should have a nicer experience both getting their boat in the water, and then using it during their stay.

One response to “Canal Work Should Make Boating at Sunset Beach Easier!”
Hi, Ron,
Yes, but the "canal work" is a mere afterthought -- the real reason for the "canal work" is to allow docks to be constructed well into the canal. At low tide, good luck to navigation. This is all about Ed Gore and the sale of his North Shore Dr. properties. It has nothing to do with enhancing Sunset Beach.
